Coda Pharmacy was proud to be back at this year’s St Wilfrid’s Hospice Starlight Stroll with our Coda Hydration Station.
Each year, St Wilfrid’s Hospice hosts its incredible Starlight Stroll, bringing the local community together for a very special evening in support of the hospice. Participants have the choice of taking part in either the 5 mile or 10 mile walk, making their way along the beautiful Eastbourne seafront.
The Starlight Stroll is about so much more than just the walk. Along the route, participants have the opportunity to lay a special lantern in the Italian Gardens, either in memory of someone they have lost or as a way of reflecting on the incredible work carried out by St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
We were stationed at the Memory Gardens on Eastbourne seafront with our Hydration Station, where our team were on hand throughout the evening to offer free bottles of water to walkers before they continued into the Italian Gardens to lay their lanterns.
It was such a lovely evening to be part of, and we really enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces from across our local community. There was such a special atmosphere along the seafront, with people coming together for their own personal reasons while all supporting the same important cause.
We had lots of people stop by our Hydration Station throughout the evening, whether it was to grab a bottle of water before continuing their walk or simply to have a quick chat with our team. We always love being able to take part in events like this and meet the people who make our community so special.
St Wilfrid’s Hospice is such an important part of our local community, providing care and support to people and their families when they need it most. Being able to support their Starlight Stroll is something we are incredibly proud of, and we were so pleased to be back again this year.
A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, St Wilfrid’s has announced that more than £70,000 has been raised so far, with even more still to come.
